ViStart

ViStart is a free application that allows you to transform your start menu into a Windows Vista-like menu. In case you didn't know, the Windows Vista start menu allows you to type the name or part of the name of the program or file you are looking for in the search field, and it opens it instantaneously. This enables you to save a lot of time searching for a program or file in the regular way.

The application is very easy to use and intuitive, and it is available in multiple languages. It just sits silently in your system tray and allows you to control everything from there. From that menu, you can also hibernate, log off, restart, shut down, and switch users. Also, from the options menu, you can customize the default browser and email client as well as other options like enable auto-click feature, show or not the tray icon, start with Windows, clear frequently used program list, and set the indexing limit.
